SIBiol and Science Centre Singapore co-organised the 7th Singapore Junior Biology Olympiad (SJBO) for students from Secondary 2 to 4 (or their international equivalent) and welcomed all Singapore-based schools to take part on Wednesday 18th May 2022. 1880 students from 85 schools participated in the online Theory Round. Similar to last year’s SJBO, an additional 31 students took part in the home-based, open-book “Challenge” version of the Theory Round.

For the SJBO Theory Round Competition, 93 students received gold medals, 198 received silver medals, 301 received bronze medals, 163 received honourable mention and 1125 received certificate of participation. For the SJBO Theory Round Challenge, a total of 31 students received certificate of participation.
